A good entry-level TEFL/TESOL course will review aspects of English and give you an intensive training in how to effectively teach them to language learners at different stages of the language acquisition process, from beginner to advanced. These skills can be gained through online courses as well as in-class courses.
We offer a four-week residential certification course that provides for a high-quality practical training. During the training, there are daily study sessions in which trainees learn teaching methodology and classroom management skills. The greater portion of the time is spent on preparing, teaching, and evaluating classes. The students are immigrants.
This course gives you the best return on your investment. As you gradually acquire new skills, you have sufficient practice to apply them to teaching and to get feedback from your trainer.
In addition to the four-week (120 hours) residential training, we offer the following one-week (40 hours) specializations:
These special training classes can be taken at the end of the four-week residential training or in a separate session if you already possess the TEFL/TESOL Certificate.
Our online TEFL/TESOL course is a 100% distance-learning course and can be taken with or without the support of a personal online tutor. As it is an online TEFL/TESOL course, there is no classroom attendance and no teaching practice component. You will, however, have the opportunity to see actual lessons taking place through video.
Our online TEFL/TESOL courses are primarily designed for those people who wish to study an internationally recognized TEFL/TESOL course but have time and/or budget constraints which don't allow them to attend one of our training centers. The advantages of this course are that you are able to study at your own pace. You can take the course from anywhere in the world, and tuitions are very competitive.
Our Combined TEFL/TESOL course connects online with onsite training. You study the principles and theories of TEFL/TESOL online at your own pace. After that, you'll attend one of our training centers for seven days to get classroom teaching practice.
This course is ideal for those people who wouldn't enjoy the intensive nature of an onsite TEFL/TESOL course but would like to get some teaching practice. As the Combined TEFL/TESOL Course requires only seven days of attendance at a training center, it is also more suited to those who aren't able to attend an onsite TEFL/TESOL course for four weeks.
The combined course features the same components as an onsite course and results in TEFL/TESOL certification.
Onsite TEFL courses are 100% classroom courses. An experienced trainer monitors your progress daily as you gradually work your way through the four-week course. Initially, the course covers a lot of theory rather quickly to get you ready to teach. Starting week two, increased teaching practice will take over. TEFL trainees are assigned to classes of immigrants and teach them according to schedule. The trainer observes the teaching and evaluates the class thereafter. As TEFL groups are small, the attention is inliidualized.
Most of the trainees who so far participated in the four-week residential program really needed that time to get ready to teach. Very often, they had no or only limited exposure to teaching. And even experienced teachers took some time to let go of some outdated methods and take on new ways of teaching.
The majority of the course participants care about their quality of teaching. In order to achieve this level, you need some time to work on yourself. The four-week residential course gives you that time and leaves you with a feeling of confidence in your abilities as you reach out for new frontiers. Beyond these frontiers, you will stand alone with your skills, without your trainer, and you have to prove to your new world that you can do it.
